2020 meeting scrapbook
January 2020: Our first meeting to welcome in 2020 featured our annual presentations. We voted on resolutions, perused the haberdashery sale and enjoyed some lovely refreshments whist taking part in board games.
February 2020: During our meeting we were delighted to see so many of our ladies and to welcome three new members.
Our speaker was Wayne Bent from Cambridge Search & Rescue who told us about the wonderful work they do alongside the emergency services on a volunteer basis.
We also had a book swap, raffle and refreshments.
February 2020: Many of our ladies enjoyed coffee, then the fabulous Crown & Gowns Exhibition at Ely Cathedral followed by a lovely lunch at The Almonry, Ely.
March 2020: During our March meeting we were delighted to welcome members from Witchford, Littleport and Northwold WI's.
Our speaker for the evening was from the Royal Papworth Hospital who gave us an insight into the new hospital and the really important fund raising that they do.
April 2020 - December 2020: Due to the pandemic in-person meetings were cancelled for the rest of the year. Despite this we held monthly Zoom catch-ups, virtual afternoon teas, talks, discussions and our virtual Christmas Party for 2020.
2020: Throughout the rest of the year our committee worked really hard to put together and deliver a smile package once a month to all of our members.
It had a newsletter, little gift, personalised card, competition and was always a delight to receive,
